Just had the rear subframe replaced on my SLK 200 following a scary moment on Monday when a suspension arm let go exiting a roundabout. Picture below of old subframe!

I'm sure the replacement subframe will last at least 16 years....?

While researching Anti-corrosion spray's like ACF-50 to protect the underside of our cars, found this interesting You-Tube video:
Though standard ACF-50 did perform that well in the above test, though does attract less grit, they do do a Car version:

Great News
If Your planning to keep Your SLK for a few more years, consider paying for the rear brake pipes to be replaced while they are replacing the sub-frame..??
