I see the occasional SLK around here but this was a treat.

Schwarzie took Lorraine and me to St Jacobs today to pick up my 1930's era German box clock from the repair man. There are so few old-time clockmen I was lucky to find him (and he's 40'ish taking over from an older gentleman who is retreating back into just fixing grandfather clocks).

Anyway, we had a nice lunch at Jacobs Grill (wonderful food here) and what do I spy but this R171 SLK55 in a beautiful (selenite?) gray. Immaculate condition.

One thing I noticed were the wheels. I think it's a pain cleaning Schwarzie's 12 spoke. I didn't count them but it looks like 24 :surprise:

BTW, this is the FIRST opportunity I've had to card one since I got my cards ( :tu: ) . Unfortunately, the owner(s) weren't around and seeing as how it was 37oC without humidity, we weren't stickin' around.

Hopefully the owner will follow up and find this post and not just toss the card away :tu:

So here she is:
