I'm pretty lucky, I live in SLK world. There's more SLK's, CLK's, and SL's here than anywhere in the World. It's great! Step to your right, you bump into an SLK, step to your left, you bump into an SL, step back, and bump into a CLK! AMG's? We have so many you can't count them all. Brabus? Their made down the street from me... I live in Benz Heaven. Life is Great in South County, Southern California.

The "South Land", the "South County". Ya'll Northerners always forget about us San Diegans: the true South Land, although I'm sure the Mexicans beg to differ. :D

Ruins the exclusive feeling in my opinion if you're always stepping out next to the same car. I can go a week or more without seeing another SLK in my area, even at the beach and I like it like that. Makes get togethers more fun too when you rarely see someone driving "your" car.

Norm...as discussed in other posts...is there a sense of community? Do other SLK drivers give you a bit of a wave, nod of the head, smile...?
John, they don't seem to in Indy

Some do. I think a lot of them are just people who can buy one. Lately with our weather, I just want to yank them out of their car and make em put the top down! Why even buy it? Sometimes I think people here buy them so other people can't enjoy them! I feel like yelling "Hey Stupid, they make a hardtop model of that car!" If it's not raining, the top is DOWN!! My last sighting? A beautiful snow white SL Brabus. Top Down. Guy said he's had it two weeks, and is in LOVE. Me, I never get bored seeing so many fine cars. There are days when you pull up to a signal, and you can spot 4 or 5 drop-top Benz around you. It's a beautiful thing. Oh, and LOTS of Porsche's, those I race once a month. My biz partner has an 88 Carrera, and it's a blast.
