Scandinavia and the UK regions have been covered for some time.

Like the title says, this thread is for mainland Europe.

So if you have the desire to have a breakfast meet in France,
visit a car show in Greece,
want to know how many of you are in Poland,
or need local information in Spain,
this is your starting point.

If you live in Mainland Europe,I've only listed a few countries as an example, this thread is for you.

Enjoy.

Thanks to the Admin. and Mods. for giving it the go ahead.

To give a clearer idea of countries considered as part of Europe.

Great Britain an Ireland are usually covered by this thread:
United Kingdom Region - Mercedes Benz SLK Forum

Turkey fits into Europe but traditionally has been covered by:
Asia Region - Mercedes Benz SLK Forum

Scandinavia has had it's own regional thread for some time:
Scandinavia Region - Mercedes Benz SLK Forum

And Russia?
Could fit into several of the regional links but I'd suggest the Mainland Europe would be most suitable.

Thanks for informations. Thank you for submitting your links. They will certainly useful. In Poland MB SLK is not a particularly popular car especially in version AMG 320, and therefore I will be happy to benefit from your experience. I travel frequently whether a motorcycle or car, especially to the south of Europe (Italy, France and Spain) and therefore the more it will be nice to meet colleagues from the forum somewhere on the route. Sorry for mistakes but english is not my native :(.

Some countries already have a lively SLK forum. On mbslk.de the German speaking community (that's including Switzerland, Austria and even a couple of lost Belgians and Dutch) is represented. My french is pretty basic but traditionally Mercedes isn't a big seller in France so any SLK talk wil be covered by a more general mercedes forums. The Dutch SLK forum isn't really taking of either, so I linger aroind here and on mbslk.de.

Language is still the main handicap in getting easy cross-euro exchanges. Some countries don't even have second languages as a mandate in their schooling system which makes for an even bigger gap between 'them' and 'us'.

We saw a potentially huge gap in the countries that SLKWorld support.
This thread is intended to cover that gap.

The translation programs on the internet are pretty good, if not totally accurate.
We expect members to consider that English may not be the first language of a member.

As a biker who has spent a lot of time in France, some in several other of our European neighbours
I found one thing obvious.
We love fellow travellers.

hello, this is not a bad idea.
I'm french, and only for SLK, we have at least 3 dedicated forum, and as far as I know surely 1 Mercedes forum and maybe 1 AMG forum ! And many French are not really interrested in practice of foreign language ! lol Probably one more problem of our educational system but to be honest it's mainly because we don't need to speak english daily.
Recently I meet a guy fron netherland and he had a very good accent, it's the same for Danish, and he explain that because movies are not translate, so if they want to look them they are "naturaly forced" to learn english and they practice it each day.

But i'll come here to see the news and try to participate if possible.
