Why, when you put it all back together, do you ALWAYS have a bolt left over?
I was just working on something and had a self tapping/sheet metal screw left over, BUT I didn't remove any screws like that to take it apart, they were all machine screws.

I have to put all the small stuff in one pan OR if a screw releases a smallish part, then the screws get put aside with that part.

It's when I'm putting together a new item, then I'll have something left over.
Maybe for the next project ? :grin:

For me 'intelligent tinkering' these days goes hand in hand with my smart phone:
Take a quick picture prior to disassembly, or a video when depth perception or a verbal summary is needed for reassembly.
Have the 'instructable video' you find when researching the job all loaded and queued up ... or the applicable SLKWorld post opened ... whichever is applicable.
And of course the phone's flash light ever ready.
