A friend of mine who went with me and drove my other car home when I purchased my SLK sent me this info from an auction he watched.

Good Evening,
I don't always remember but normally I don't forget. I told you about a car that sold at the mecum car auction. Well, here is it's write up. It sold for $181,500. I think you need one of these. :)

A first-year example, this Iridium Silver Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG has only traveled 5,103 miles since it was delivered new. The 6.3L/563 HP V-8 engine and rear-mounted AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission are muscular enough to propel the 3,765-pound coupe from 0-60 MPH in about 3.6 seconds, and finish the quarter-mile in 11.7 seconds at 124 MPH. The SLS AMG is much more than just a modified Mercedes-Benz; it was the first vehicle entirely designed and built by AMG and is the follow up to the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, both of which are considered the spiritual successors to both the 300SL and 300SLR from the 1950s. The 6.3L V-8 is based on the M156 engine block and received more than 120 modifications, giving it its own engine code, M159. AMG left little to chance with the SLS; every detail was seen to, right down to a carbon-fiber composite driveshaft in the transaxle, unique AMG carbon-ceramic brakes, gullwing-style doors and an extensive amount of body and chassis tuning which allowed the SLS to deliver an assortment of driving personalities. The SLS was one of the most exclusive cars to ever wear a Mercedes-Benz star. Largely hand built through-and-through, the bodies were fabricated at a dedicated shop, the engines and transmissions were assembled and inspected by specialists in the field with experience in building racing engines, the interiors were assembled with the upmost attention to detail, and the technology was some of the most advanced the world had ever seen. The end result was a very unique car costing more than $200,000. Highly optioned, this SLS is equipped with carbon-fiber interior trim, a 1,000-watt Bang and Olufsen stereo system, an exclusive Designo Series leather interior in black, Bi-Xenon headlamps, power folding mirrors, dual-zone climate control, Parktronic and Keyless-Go among other features.

The Pix is one of the SLS cars, not necessarily the one sold at auction.
