I’m slowly accumulating tools for my SLK55 and am not having luck in searching out the correct size socket required to remove my Wheel lug nuts. Which socket should I purchase?

you checked the lug nut wrench in your trunk? size might be written on it or you can compare the size

I decided to clean up under the spare tire, and saw the lug wrench. When I tested it, It’s was too small for my wheel lugs, but is perfect for the small lugs supplied with the spare tire. Am I possibly missing a lug wrench for the factory toolkit?

so i dont add confusing on here SLK -C use 17mm bolt heads ( lug heads )

other Mercedes High end models as such and 4X4 models use the other type but a 17mm socket does fit it but not exact .

the other type shape has been used by Mercedes for a good number of years cannot put a year on it sadly at moment .

hope that all makes sense . ?

I finally found my micrometer... they measure out around 22mm View attachment 570896
they are plastic cover caps i have a special tool to remove them !

tap them if they seem like plastic they are or use a magnet etc to test if they are metal ....

you can use a screwdriver to prize them off two req opposite sides .
protect alloy wheel from damge prizing them off .

those look like covers on the bolts
remove em bolt underneath
