Hi
The time has come for me to start looking at some new brake pads for my new to me SLK32.
They have about 3 or 4mm left and I was hoping someone could recommend some reasonably price ones.
Ebay have a large selection of different branded ones at between £30 to £60. which seems good value.
Do the standard fitted ones have warning sensors?
Many thanks
Steve

If you don't mind the brake dust problem of the OEM semi-metallic pads, Centric makes an OEM equivalent semi-metallic at an affordable price.

I know a lot of SLK32 owners have opted for ceramic pads specifically for the dust and noise characteristics but you seem to give up a LOT of performance for those conveniences. I stuck with semi-metallic pads on my SLK32 and I will likely do the same with my SLK55.

Here's the Centric website parts locator for the SLK32. They must have distribution in the UK.

And their "parts flavor" guide to other pad formulations they offer.

Centric has bought up many competitors over the years so they own many brands and usually offer multiple types of pads for each application. Here's a page with charts showing the relative performance characteristics of their various formulations.

Here's another option in the US, Needswings. They may ship to the UK. And they are basically offering various Centric sourced solutions.
