Good morning my fellow SLK lovers,
I registered here for information and help regarding this beautiful car. I purchased one for my wife. It's a Junge Sterne form Mercedes (second hand with warranty). It's an Obsidian Black beauty with Sahara Beige interior, Becker navigation, Airscarf, Panorama roof, Parking aid and Becker Navi.
It's our first week with the car. We had some fun but also some problems: some leaks on both A pillar and B pillar right side. I used a little bit of special rubber silicon and I think I will go to MB for a seal check.
All the best for Germany and many km / miles without incidents.
Thank you!
Andrei

Hi Andrei, and welcome to SLKWorld.com from the UK Midlands - Thanks for joining us! :)

Gummi Pflege is great for treating the rubber seals, although if you do this and you still have leaks, I'd go straight back to the supplying dealer:
Spring is here~Gummi Pflege! Lube your seals/Lithium grease your joints/hinges

Good morning!
Thank you all for the warm welcome.
Regarding the rubber care I already did a second treatment yesterday evening (first was saturday). I didn't think that also joints need some grease but on the next days I will take care of them. Some WD40 I have already and some other special lubes. This fantastic Krytox that everyone is speaking is not findable for me in Germany (I searched only store with no effect) and I don't want to go to VW/ Audi for their stuff (they have krytox at a huge price as original accessory). But maybe I will go to mercedes and ask for their special/approved Gummi Pfleger. I used for all rubber seals a special silicone bought from Est Europe at insane low price that made wonders on all rubbers. At the beginning the seal between the small window and the big windows was so hard that I thought is plastic. After the first treatment - softer, after the second treatment - feels and looks as a normal rubber seal.
I don't know if it's better as Krytox, after a visit at mercedes (I will ask for) I will check the difference.
A nice day everyone!
