Over the past few years the alarm on my 2011 SLK200 has gone off with no explanation. It is very rare - once or twice a year.
I have failed to get to the bottom of the problem but have read on other forums that there can be multiple reasons.
I need to totally disable the alarm as the car will be left unattended in a residential area for five days.
The alarm went off at 5:30 this morning - I can not allow this to happen when I am not here.
I know that there are disable buttons for tow-away and interior motion sensor but these were disabled the previous time and the alarm still went off.
Is there a fuse I can removed that will disable both the siren and the flashing indicator lights?
If so where is the fuse? My manual tells me where to find the fuse allocation chart but it cannot be found!!!
Thanks
Charlie

We've had a few instances of this on here &, as said above, replacing the alarm battery is the usual fix.
There may be a temp fix in this lot, but battery replacement is the cure.

Important! Remember, your insurance may not cover theft if alarm is disabled.
