SLK rear windows

When I went for a test drive in a R172 the sales guy put down the roof , I noticed that the two small rear windows did not completely disappear from view . About half an inch remained above the hard top cover . I asked the salesman if this was normal and he said he did not know as he had only just joined the sales team . Seems odd to me that they would design it with a triangular piece of glass exposed and vulnerable to damage.
Anyone know?

I think that's a bit harsh. Mercedes dealers have to handle 35 different models, new and used, and while many features are common to all, there will always be something the dealer representative will get asked that's not covered by the sales training which I suspect majors on features and selling positives about each model rather than little quirks like how far the back windows roll down.

I personally would rather they admitted they didn't know and found out than made up some answer to BS their way out of the situation.
