Well after All the problems I have had with my R172 2011 RED I now have another.
I was just taking the car to have a total respray because of the red paint blistering problem. I started off this morning and after about a mile I noticed the car wasnt getting very warm. Tried all the different combinations of heater temp up and down vents on and off ,everything I could try I tried and NOTHING. Not a dickie bird. cold cold cold same after 15 miles. Because I was taking the car in to the paint shop today I have not had a chance to check anything. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Had a similar problem with my former C-class. No air out of the vents but you could hear the blower working. Turned out to be a loose CAN-bus connector at the back of the A/C control panel which resulted in all flaps being closed. Not sure if you have the same symptoms.

Like I say Havnt had a chance to check anything yet but the last time I took it out it worked perfectly. The car has only done 14000 miles and loads of things have packed up. Seems like it has a clock which reads now your 4 years old its time to get a new one. But NOT Mercedes. I had a Toyota MR2 for 22 years and only thing that I had to change was the tyres, Plugs and Brake discs and pads. And oil on a regular basis.

Heater Box Failure after 4 years and 21000 miles

Just had my R172 heater box fail. Quoted £2300 to replace. Absolutely ludicrous for a 4 year old car having driven only 21,000 miles. This part should have lasted the life of the car. I'm 61 years old and never had a heater fail on any car I've owned over the last 45 years. Mercedes need to sort out their quality control and provide free repairs for premature failures such as this.

Ya get ready for the failed electrical parts racket (repair surely a racket). Apparently this is the con of owning a Mercedes (nothing but electrical problems with all these modules and poor connectivity):|. At least the mechanical portions of the cars are pretty sound and solidly built.
