SLK R172 2011 Central locking not working with remote.

Just got my car back after a complete respray (Fireopal Red paint problem under warranty)and found that the central locking wasnt working. Got tham to do a Diagnostic but said they couldnt find the problem but found corroded terminals in the Sam box and was going to cost £550 +vat + fitting. Told them to forget it and went to pick up the car and it was working again. One week later its not working. Any Ideas.
Ive checked the Sam box myself and it is spotlessly clean inside and no sign of corrosion.
My remotes are perfectly ok. The locks work from inside the car. The car locks at 15mph. Could it be the Remote receiver? Any Ideas???

How old is your battery?
How old is your battery?
My battery is 4 years old the same as the car. But is in perfect condition.
One moment the remote locking was working next moment nothing.

Have the vehicle battery and the vehicle
battery connections checked at an
authorized Mercedes-Benz Center

Its been into Mercedes Benz dealers for 3 days. I would imagine they checked the battery. But then Knowing Mercedes very doubtful.
The system was reset by Mercedes last week after the diagnostic.

you never know.
they also said it was corroded, didn't they?

so if it has not returned, blame gremlins
if it returns, then do battery reset

how do they 'reset? same as us? :D

disconnect the battery (neg cable) for a minimum of 30 minutes
reconnect cable
reset clock and synch/reset windows
see how it behaves

Yes I can try that. It just makes me wonder what the problem really is. Works one day then not the next then works again then not.
Seems like something loose of not fully connected. The car has only done 14000 miles.
usually 'electronics' behave after the reset, if they really reset it. To them a reset might be synching the windows, now known in R172 manual as a 'reset'.
