Took my SLK R171 to the garage as I was experiencing intermittent no crank, no start - the car would sometimes fire up when the key was turned, yet at other times it wouldn't start at all. The garage diagnosis threw up the codes P202C and P201B but no explanation to what these meant.

Can anyone advise?

My problem, which wasn't solved with new cam and crank shaft sensors, is that if I'm to quick (key in and turn and start in one quick movement), it wouldn't start.

However, if I put the key in, turned it to the second position and waited for the [tank] dial to move and THEN start it, it would start every time.. This doesn't happen when it's warm though..

Is this one of those low battery voltage things that there seems to be many manifestations of.
LIke Turbo I always put key in turn it so all dash lights come up, and other things buzz, whir and tick and then start it up (I count up to 5 elephants) o_O:sleep:
Perhaps these old fashioned electronics are a bit cranky compared to more up-to-date stuff (I didn't say better!)
