I have a 2001 SLK 230 super charged. I ordered a Bosch maf part number 0280217114 from Rock Auto. According to the drill down, this was the right part. However, my oem maf sensor, part number 5WK9613 is much shorter. Where did I go wrong?

Thanks,

As far as per diagrams I've seen there are different maf sensors for post and pre-facelift models, also if you have 230 or 320 they're also different. Post your VIN I'll try to look it up in the parts catalog!

Yes, the one you ordered is for pre-facelift models 96-00.
Return this one and get a different one. The correct part number you need is: 1110940148
The websites I usually get my staff from list the following prices:
RMEuropean: $297.60

BMAparts: $ 224.22 for Siemens and $ 67.40 for aftermarket one.
If you use coupon code "specE30" for BMAparts you'll get it for 213.01 + Free shipping =) Not bad, right?! :tu:

Ask other members or do a little research if anyone used aftermarket MAF sensors. The price difference is huuuuuge!

Thanks JaysonM,
I bought the BMAparts, Siemens part. It seems the OEM parts work a little better for the maf. You have been a great help and I appreciate it.
