Lol, my V8 Conversion days started and ended with dropping Rover lumps into Mantas and Capris .. dis is a whole different ball-game and it's important for a man (or woman) to know his (or her) limitations

Pre all the computers, I suspect.
Some of those lumps ended up in trikes.

V8 Capri? That made me smile. Loved my Capri, even when it was trying to kill me.

With you on tyres too.
When folks say this is the best tyre, it really means best compromise for their ownership and pocket.
No point putting well sticky tyres on when you don't use performance.
Ditto with rock hard, long life tyres when you do use performance (unless you enjoy slidies all the time).

Looking good fella.

Your exhaust issue is amongst the reasons I sometimes carry
bailing wire & gaffa tape (Never use gaffa on hot parts - smokey smokey).

If I am doing the remote lanes, they serve as a get out of jail fix.
No phone and at least not stranded.

Need to examine my calendar closely soon
