New to the forum here. Just picked up a used slk 230 and doing a bunch of DIY upkeep that the previous owner had not. Just performed an oil change and am about to do a tranny flush as well as replace motor / tranny mounts. When I was under the car this weekend I noticed the splash cover missing and it's a $150 part. Being that I'm replacing mounts, how important is that splash guard. Assuming it's been missing for a long time and prev owner did not know it. Also, I have a couple of guides, but are there any good videos on the slk motor and tranny mount installation?

Forgot the introduction! From Wyoming here, enjoy our few months of summer driving with the top down. It's a 1999 Mercedes SLK 230 I picked up form a relative in San Diego. Had a great drive back, Mojave is hot as ever, and got to drive the SLK down the Vegas strip. Had it for just over a week now and its all broken down, getting maint!
