Hmm the easy entry-exit on my 2015 SLK250 moves in and out but has never moved up or down. I asked my service adviser, who said that's how they work.

In comparison, the easy entry-exit on my Lexus would move up and down in addition to in an out.

Interesting that you would bring up your experience with your Lexus. With our Lexus, not only does the steering wheel move up/down and in/out as a convenience for exiting the vehicle, the seat also moves back/forth!

My wife often points out these things that her Lexus does better than my MB... Ugh!:surprise:

Firstly,

It's an old thread :tu:

Secondly, and I think you might enjoy this...
How long does it take for the Lexus roof to fold into the boot? :D
That's a comparison worth noting.

Interesting that you mention the time, can have my Reatta top down and folded under the tonneau in less than 20 seconds - and it is a manual top (but is soft). Can't do it while sitting in my seat though.

Also my SLK has the memory seat and the wheel moves up and out of the way when I remove the key (seat is already all the way back so not any movement wanted). Did take some manual studying to figure it out.

You know.... I had not noticed the date of when the thread was started (or the last message posted!) HA ! Thanks for pointing that out!!!!

As for the folding top on the Lexus... I agree that it would bring her argument to a brilliant but quick end... but as a happily married man, I know better than that!

I think there was a recall on part of the steering column that affects the easy entry/exit. I remember that it didn't apply to the 2015 but maybe the 2014s or older. The post I remember was from BertL.
