I have a basic question:
The (only) difference between a standard and a Kompressor SLK is that the K has a Kompressor, which is the same as a Supercharger, right?
I have seen them go for 150 Euros, and was wondering... Is it possible to add one of these to a standard SLK, without changing the whole engine? Or the K engine has a reserved spot for this component?
If it's possible, can you please link me some posts of people that did this?
In theory, this should rise the horsepower from 136 to 192... (as they are for SLK 200 R170 types).
I'm not an expert but there may be more involved than just adding a super charger. Your OEM ECU may not accept or recognize the S/C, you may have to change the MAF sensor, you will most likely have to add an intercooler and all related items.
