Tzitzos,

Welcome, nice mods, some I already did..

this is something I wanted to do, the resonator delete, could you post some photos of the after?

Also, how does this improved sound? Sounds sportier? I see you have the same AMG back boxes as I have, and in my case I think they're too quiet..

From a vehicle inspection perspective, do you have any issues going thru the inspection with no secondary cats?

Thanks.

Hello fromero
thx you for the welcome.

so unfortunately i don't have more pictures (maybe i have the tubes before they have weld them to the car) because i have done this modification 300km away from my town and i only had the cellular to take some photo.
then while they were working i didn't want to disturb to much.
i will search and if i find anymore i will post it.

the sound changes yes.it's more sportier.
before this modification , with the original airfilters and the AMG terminal exhaust , yes i hear a little bit of the exhaust.
when i have put the sport airbox and the K&N filter i hear only the motor. No exhaust at all.Was too quiet like you say.
I understand you because first i had the AMG terminal exhaust with original airbox and filters , then change the airbox with the sport version like i see that you already have and the sound of the exhaust was too much quiet.

so after this modification yes now again i hear the exhaust and it's sound perfectly.
when it cold it's a little bit strange the sound (but i like it also) but when it start heating the sound is excellent.i really love it.
it's definitely more sportier and a little bit more "deep" from 2500rpm to 3500rpm.
also it does give you any kind of problems when you have to travel with 130km (max spees here to italy to the highway)

From a vehicle inspection i guarantee that you will not have any kind of problems.

It's a modification that i recommended to do it if you want a more sportier sound and a little bit more aggressive and louder.
As for the performance you will not take any kind of cv with this modification.

One recommendation if i can. When you will make the tubes , use the same diameter and ask your manufacture to make them internally to the center a little bit larger. It will help you with the back pressure and you will not loose performance from lows rpm.

Finally here is a little video the day after the modification in the morning.
Pls don't laugh to much because is when i wake up and i have go directly to the car to see if all was ok so i am a little bit sleeping yet :p :p
I put the camera to my scooter to make it.
You can hear the cold sound. When is hot is different.
I will try to make a video with hot so you can understand the different sound

Ciao,

thank you, that's nice...I had a nice laugh, please keep up the humor.

When you say make the same diameter, and in the center larger, I don't understand,

I planned on using the same diameter tube, I think it's 2 1/4 in.

You mean increasing the diameter, to say, 2 1/2 in?

or

making a chamber, like the cats?

Thank you...

yes the tube you have to use the same diameter with the rest fromero.
then inside the tube in the center you have to make a chamber like the cats.not so big of course.a little little larger.

they use a special machine to make this happen.
