Hi,Thanks for having me.At the moment I am between cars so to speak.Last week I sold my growler a V6 CLK Avantgarde 2.6 petrol, automatic and I am patiently awaiting(frantically!)a new SLC 200 Sport, manual ,petrol which was ordered in November and to be delivered mid February(which is MB speak for March)To quote the Rolling Stones "you can't always get what you want",this should be played by piped music in all MB showrooms.I think it would be a liberty of me to bore you with my buying experience on my introductory thread.

Hi Pete,
Welcome from ... the Wirral (South).

I've got a 55, never felt the need for anything else.
Even the bike takes a back seat to the AMG.
The SLC comes with some nice goodies though. Really like the reverse camera set up.

We have an occasional Cheshire meet for lunch.
I'm looking at doing a Wirral and North Wales meet this year.

But we're always happy to catch up over a coffee.
It's the SLK/C way.

UK has a very active meets and events scene.
Take a look at 2016 and you'll get an idea what 2017 will eventually be like.

Donington isn't a bad run out for the breakfast meets.
Next date pending, but here's the last:

Once you get the SLC don't forget to enter RoTM. It's free!
In the meantime, you can always vote for each months entrants (after the 15th of the month):

At least by getting her in March (MB talk) you'll miss the worst of the salt :tu:

Hi Pete, and welcome to from the UK Midlands - Thanks for joining us and posting an intro! :)

We have quite a few members in the UK that like to meet up from time to time, although things tend to be a little quieter during the winter months. If you're interested in joining us sometime, just keep an eye on the UK Region section, as we post meeting plans there! :tu:

There is a summary post that I maintain for our UK meets ( here ). Links to examples and pictures from last year's meets are available here. We're a friendly group, and always happy to welcome new members at any of our meets.

Finally, we also recently started plotting where our UK members are - check out the thread for that here: SLKWorld UK & Ireland Members and Meeting Points Map

Thank you
