I would imagine you would want to remove that 180 badge a bit smartish & isn't that plastic aerial on the boot lid a retrograde step, the old R 170 models & early R172's had them didn't they?

And youd be hard to tell the differnce between the two until you get to the back of car .

The old slk had there own diff front end look from any other merc .
Nowdays well they all look the same

Need to see one up close to decide .

Trouble is the AMG one at circa £50.000 you gotta look realy hard to see if it is the AMG one .

The 171 stood out big time . :grin:

My guess is it's the AMG Sport.
The wheels are same as the current AMG line spec.
The semi full fat SLC ?? AMG will look different.

Not impressed I know MB tried to line it up with the rest of there models but come on they all start to look more and more like an invasion from Japan or Korea.

The should have given the new SLC the nose from an old classic and make it stand out of the line up.

I actually like the back end more than the current model. On the front, I'm not a fan of how all the cars (C, E, S, now SLC) look the same. It was a mistake for Audi to do it and now everyone is doing it. Same with the swoopy DRLs in the headlamps.

I had the same complaint about Audis, the grill takes up a huge portion of the front end and its just cheap black plastic. Others (like MB) are now making the same mistake.

Way too much 'monkey see, monkey do' going on.
