Not sure if it's the same engine as the W204 C250 CDI but I replaced the exhaust with no middle resonator just a cat back straight Y pipe and two small sports silencers to quad exits and there wasn't that much of a change in noise, it sounded nicer and I had a "screamer" put in by a really good garage. It sounded better than stock but IMO changing an exhaust on a diesel just isn't cost effective compared to petrol. Piecha do a system but I've not heard it on the diesel.
Much better to spend your money on a remap and maybe just get the AMG diffuser and some quad tip trims for now.
If you're in Brum then pop down to MSL performance in small heath, they did mine on the C class and should be able to give you a quote. Tips are pretty cheap.hi mauraun
do you have any links or recommendations for the quad tip trims as i would love to fit the AMG diffuser and lip spoiler to my 250cdi ..thanks

The AMG diffuser is only £70 but for the real AMG spoiler it's like £400 unpainted so might want to look at a copy but I don't know the quality- was looking for one myself.
The whole cat back system was about £350 but I didn't get a breakdown of the individual costs, can't be too much though, and it you don't mind copies then ebay is your friend. Loads of cheap quad tips on there.i have already ordered a copy painted spoiler from ebay , only time will tell about the quality of it when it arrives lol ,, the genuine diffuser is a bargain at £70 ish quid ,, msl is only just down the road from me so i may pop down tomorrow morning ,, may i ask what sort of price they charged for the tips on your c class ,
