Side Marker lamp (left) removal?

Hi
I need to replace the bulb in the Side Marker Lamp. The Owners Manual says 'Carefully slide to the front and remove back-end first from the bumper' - mine seems stuck it - just won't move forward. Is there a trick to this? I'd hate to break the lense with a screwdriver pushed in the back. Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks

Yeah. It's stuck. Moving it toward the front of the vehicle will compress a plastic tension clip which then allows the rear to release outwards. The problem is that the plastic tab can often break from age. It may be possible to use a plastic trim tool to nudge it forward but be prepared for the clip to break. Only move it forward as necessary for the rear cleat to disengage. You might try spraying some car wash/water on it to free it up. Good luck.

I ran into this very issue with my last one and had the same fears. I haven't had to do this on the current one but if I recall correctly I found it possible to access the bulb holder from the back by working the fender liner out of the way. Turn the wheels to open up access to the front of the fender liner. i.e. turn full right to do the left, full left to do the right. Worked out ok as I recall.

Thanks Guys. That sucker wouldn't move!
Alex3 - you were right I got to it via the wheel well - Thanks.
As much as I like the clear ones they are expensive. Perhaps Santa will read this!
Thanks again guys.
