POLK COUNTY, Fla. — A Polk County man was arrested after authorities said he taunted the sheriff's office on Facebook.
The sheriff's office posted pictures of Logan Hale on Facebook as part of their "Friday Felons" campaign.
Hale was charged with armed burglary, among other charges.
Hale commented on the post saying, "Deputies continue to look for me but are frustrated that I am unable to be located. LOL can't hurt much now."
Sheriff Grady Judd fired back, saying, "Well, it's your choice. You can go to jail or you can go to jail tired. But we're going to seek you out. We're going to find you. We're going to put you in jail."
Hale was taken into custody Thursday afternoon during a traffic stop in Lakeland.
Judd also posted this celebratory poem on the Polk County Sheriff's Office Facebook page:
"Logan Hale, you are on your way to jail. Your attempts to hide were to no avail. Maybe you'll make bail. Either way, your Facebook taunts were an 'epic fail.'"
