Oh yes!
At red light by myself
See a mustang coming up to light my left lane
I turn ESP off
He stops ahead of me which is good since now
I don't have to turn my head
Light turns green
I start my roll and see that he wants to race
I floor it and whoosh way past him
Lanes goes from 3 to 2 and someone in his lane
But tough for him
He tries to go faster but he ran out of room
Gets behind me and then thinks of passing on left
But I am already at ludicrous speed
Light ahead changes so I slow n stop
I rolled down my window
He rolls down his
I smile and say
Just got Supercharger so had to test it
I could tell his pride was hurt
He said he just likes to take it out and
Run it
We parted and then I thought to take a picture

Sorry bro, not to hurt your pride but that aint no Shelby GT 500 Cobra (looks more like standard GT). If it was your pride would definitely have been hurt because I know that SLK as fast as it is ain't that fast. You have a Mustang killer for sure but a GT 500 cobra killer:surprise:, come on>:D Chief among them is an all-aluminum, supercharged 5.8-liter V8 that cranks out 662 horsepower:wink:

I was next to it
I read the badge
It said GT500 on the side
It said Shelby on the rear
You can see the word Shelby on his left rear
If he 'fudged' it, oh well
That is on him
:D

I beat that Hellcat also or do you doubt my word on that also? :D
The driver also makes the difference

LOL , I bet he did:laugh:. Lot of posers in those things for sure, can buy any badge or emblem you want. Even though he don't actually have one, I'm sure you showed him the light of things:grin:

For 171's? They do on 172's from what I have seen don't they? I am finding these 170 32 AMG's with the super charged V-6 to be pretty interesting, wish they hadn't stopped making the super charged V-6 in them:frown:

The r170 slk 32 has 349 hp with its 6 cyl supercharger
No r171 or r172 has a supercharger.
the r172 55 has a bigger engine and about 415 hp
SLK 55 AMG – 5.5 L (5461 cc) 310 kW (421 PS; 415 hp) V8 engine, 0–100 km/h (62 mph) 4.1 seconds

The SLC 43 does not have a sc either
AMG SLC 43 V6, 3.0L biturbo, 367 PS, 520 Nm, 7,8 l/100 km, 178 g/km, 0–100 km/h in 4.7s, 250 km/h (0-60 mph in 4.6s)

I've been wrong before but I don't think this time :D

Oh man I really got tunnel vision down the line on the super chargers when I first became interested in Mercedes. I was confusing the R172 55's with the SL's. When I first became interested I was looking at getting a used SL 55 and those come with sc but I had decided that they were too big and costly to maintain so I started looking at the SLK 55's. I automatically assumed they had super chargers because of the way the engine cover looked but now I am realizing they are all naturally aspirated. This would explain my disappointment when I drove the SLK55 because I was thinking it was super charged and it wasn't:surprise: Ya I'm a fan of super chargers because the response is immediate verses turbo hence why I am no longer interested in the SLC. The Jaguar F-type base model even comes standard with super charger and it was awesome to drive but it is soft top. I would like to see super charger come out for the 3.5 L R172 but then again being a Mercedes it will probably be upward of $10K which is ridiculous and also require hood modification as well:|

:D you keep adding

I assume all you had to buy was kit and ECU tune or is there any extras, not including labor?

check out the entire thread if you haven't and then I can see what you need answered :D

Price is in the thread :D $10k for the sc
more for install and extras like new maf, o2 sensors, ignition wires, etc kit comes with spark plugs
my install guys sent the ecu to Colorado to Kleemann
It has more miles on it flying than I do as it also made the trip for the ecu tune and headers install here:

http://www.slkworld.com/slk-r171-general-discussion/174881-my-baby-had-operation-kleemann-ecu-tune-headers-downpipes-vids.html
The tune for the sc was another charge by Kleeman or included in sc kit?
