My driver side seat heater on my 2002 SLK32 AMG is not working. I don't use it because the car is garage kept. However, I am the kind of person that wants everything to work even though I don't or rarely would use it.

I understand that the upholstery might have to be replaced if the heating element is bad. To determine this I would like to know where the relays are in this vehicle. Normally I would unbolt the seat to get at the wiring and attach a volt meter to see if there is voltage but I do not have the special socket wrench to loosen the bolts holding the seat rail to the floorboard. And if I can find the relays, how do I know which one it is? Since the passenger seat heat works, I'll know which one that is by the audible click when the switch is turned on. Are there two separate relays or one that has two parts to it?

OK, thanks. I had found the fuse box but decided not to remove the top portion. The relays must be under the layer of fuses.
