Safe way to open and close the roof.

Probably not the best idea to raise/lower it manually too much, due to possible twisting of the mechanism...

What's the problem with your roof ?

No idea...it used to work fine..sometimes it didn't want to work and after a week or so everything would work fine. However one day it refused to close..i closed it manually, and after that...there is no sound when i push the button to open..the button however makes a sound if i push it towards the closing direction (even tough it is closed). The light flashes normally. I don't know how to exactly diagnose if it is the pump, the switch or whatever it may be..i found a diagnostic guide in a pdf format here but it just looks confusing...and if i take it to the dealership i'm sure it's gonna be like $3000 in this country so i don't feeel like taking it to the stealership.
Any ideas on how to properly diagnose the problem?
