So, my roof got stuck down and my local MB independent put it back up manually.

There are no fault codes on the diagnosis computer system. The windows still go up and down when roof switch is actuated, but the roof just doesn't move.

The motor itself seems to function as the mechanic "shorted" it to make the hydraulic closure of the section in the boot.

So with no fault codes, no flashing of the switch and seemingly a motor that works , does any one have any ideas please?

R170 SLK32 AMG - roof worked fine until beginning of April when it decided, most unusually for the UK, to be sunny for 5 weeks....

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME - I CURSE EVERYTIME I SEE SOMEONE WITH THEIR ROOF DOWN!

I would check the fuses, although I'm not really sure which one controls the roof.
Hi there - thanks. The fuses are all checked - nothing wrong. We also replaced the ECU that controls it with a new one to test it - it's not that either.
