In an effort to make researching issues easier we are trying to collect them into relevant threads.

In this instance the roof issues.
As this work progresses we will be unsticking some threads.
Those threads are still on the site in 171 diy but the link are now listed above.

My roof was not opening - the boot lid raised fully but the opening sequence would not proceed any further. SDS revealed the switch in the rotary latch was stuck closed. This left me in a catch-22 because I could not access the switch to repair it until the headliner was removed, and I could not remove the headliner until the roof was opened. Fortunately I found an intermediate connector that I could disconnect to simulate the proper signal - this connector was well hidden on the right side wheel well, covered in tape and zip tied. Once disconnected, the roof opening continued so I could then remove the headliner and access the switch.
