Had a great day out with the family on Sunday at The Riverside Museum of Transport and Travel in Glasgow. This was formerly the Kelvin Hall Transport Museum until it relocated and re-opened in 2011. There is plenty to see, including my daughters partners great grandfathers donated motorcycle (a 1937 Manx Norton), which we were proud to see displayed, and the children were kept amused playing with the interactive displays.
As well as locomotives, there are some beautiful cars on display including some early soft tops, a Porche Dan @Berliner Heckflosse would have liked, and a replica of the 1885 Benz 3 wheeler.
Here are a few photos .......

Fire engines, models, trams, a mock up of a Glaswegian street, motorcycles galore, and even the bicycle that started them off ....

That's all folks! I love that last pic! >:D

So if you are ever in Glasgow and have a day to spare, check it out, I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Best of all ..... it's free to get in!
