After driving to the Nurburgring for my annual euro trip I'd love to post the video of a couple of laps we recorded but I've no idea how to , I can't even post pics anymore !
My passengers wife sent the video to my wife via something called what's app, and that's as good as you lot are going to get , but I can say I let a m2 competition past and just managed to keep him in view for around a minute and a half , don't race one of them in a slk on a track , you've got no chance and it's pretty obvious where the differences are !
after the ring we drove to Bordeaux airport where I left my passenger and met my wife . Bordeaux is a good night out by the way !
From there we drove to Pamplona for the last weekend of the San Fermin festival. It's a great place , but personally I wouldn't bother trying to get on the street trying to run with the bulls , I've done it before and the reality is your standing on a street surrounded by drunks , 8am in the morning, and the bulls have been and gone before you know it . Your far better off going to the bull ring and watch the nutters running for their lives ! Enjoy the rest of the festival over the Sunday and keep walking , there's something to see and experience around every corner , Hemingways bar is a good vantage point late afternoon on the terrace.
From there we dropped down to logrono , the capital of Rioja, another great place with good nightlife . We booked a tour of the ' marques de murrietta ' vineyards and cellars , I thought it would be a group thing but we ended up with a personal guided tour ending with the vineyards acclaimed chef and sous chef preparing tasters for us alone to compliment our wine tasting !
After that we went to San Sebastián, we've been going for years and it never lets us down , all I can say is try it once in your life , we did and we've gone back every year since , it's a great place if you like food , wine and life in general.
We stopped at a couple of random French towns on the way back up , La Rochelle and angers , both nice enough but the highlight was the last stop at Honfleur, a lovely costal town with a lot going on .
After that it was the ferry for four hours , as boring as you could imagine , then the six hour trip back to the Wirral , even more boring!

Id even bored of any of that after ten seconds , you'll have to use your imagination!!! Just don't try your luck against a well driven m2 competition around a track

I wouldn't know where to start and the days spent trying to sort it out wouldn't be worth the result , it was the first lap with unknown quantities in respect of the tyres and brake pads and was captured by my passenger holding his phone in his hands , I've never seen the Nurburgring so up and down in my life, there was some great footage of the glovebox and the German sky
If by chance the other guy that came gets his kids to sort out the other laps we caught on a go pro I'll get him to get his kids to post them on here under my name with my login details. The highlight was a clown in a radical who we let past assuming he was some sort of track specialist only for him to brake so hard into the first set of corners we nearly ran into him he was going so slow and then captured him running off the track in the next corners , he had no idea where the track went so I re passed him on safety reasons , seriously , he was a danger to all around him .
