Probably easiest to buy the cheapest used cluster you can find onn Ebay and strip it for parts - it doesn't even matter if it suffers from the dreaded 'Pink Shrimp'

I just threw my old test one away (one too many tests, and too many bits missing now!!) , otherwise you could've had the ribbon cable!!

If I were you I'd try a trustable laptop service.
To change 3 micro switches is not a big thing for any electric-mind guy ...

What exactly is wrong with it? I have used the copper repair fluid for rear window defrosters to repair flexible circuits.

Hi the ribbon fitting to the circuit board has broken and there looks to be some electrical damage to one of the vains

If the damage is in the actual connection, it is probably hard to repair. I'm sure using some very small wire (maybe 28 gauge) you, or someone with experience, could solder a jumper from the connector directly to the switches affected. But as you first said, a replacement would be the way to go, if you could find it.
