I've just been quoted £259 to remap engine to 200bhp, which seems OK to me.
Has anybody done this and if so how are you finding the increase in bhp, is it worth doing?
Any down sides?
The guy, a motoerbike drag racer, has done my RR Evoque which has made a great difference.

If anyone knows please answer, I need to know that too, I am putting new belt for kompresor and pulley + ecu, that should give me 30hp and 40nm, is that reliable? I am new to this forum, sorry if I brake some rules.

Welcome to SLKWorld.com: The #1 Mercedes-Benz SLK Forum from Florida!

First please update your vehicle (year?: 1996-2017) in your profile as it helps the members answer your questions which usually are based on that information if you haven’t. This takes about 30 seconds to do.
Follow exactly to update: ‘Usercp’ at the top of page, then ‘edit your details’ on the left side, ‘additional information’ near the bottom, edit your ‘vehicle’. Info in your garage does not update your profile.

Join the gang! Your 1st thread should be your introduction so we can welcome you properly so post an introduction in the ‘New members introduce yourself here’ section, if you haven’t already. New Members Introduce Yourself Here - Mercedes Benz SLK Forum

Some tips to make your visit here more enjoyable:
If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top right of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before. Remember, ‘Search’ is your friend.
If you wish to become PM (Private Message) capable or to ‘edit’, you need 15 posts. To get those 15 posts quickly, just go to the ‘New members introduce yourself here’ section and welcome enough new members to obtain your needed posts to PM/edit. You can always pm a moderator.
Want to post a picture? Start a new thread or make a post, click ‘edit’, click on the ‘paper clip’ or ‘advanced’ and/or ‘manage attachments’ then ‘choose file’ then ‘upload’ and ‘submit’! If Iphone pics, you need to rename any additional pics as Iphone names its pics all the same, image.jpg.
Want to ‘like’ or thank’ someone’s comments? Use the ‘like’ button to the right or the ‘Thanks’ button, bottom right of any post you like. This saves you having to comment.
New members should be aware that the 'New Posts' link next to the 'Search' link top right of the info bar is a great way to see all of the posts you have missed since you were on the forum last. Remember to click 'mark forums read' under ‘quick links’ when you leave.

It wont go 200hp with just a remap. You need a pulley too and it will pass the 200 mark
No down sides... With 1 bar of boost nothing will happen.

Yes it does worth

Hopefully attached file for the tune up showing a 37bhp increase giving 200bhp in total.
On a previous thread somebody states that smaller cog does not work!

Sounds like a very big increase just by a remap, great!

How are you finding the difference?

Fuel consumption?

Are you using 98 octane fuel now or can you still run it on 95?

Have you thought of putting the smaller pulley on the Kompressor as well, I have one installed on mine and it's quite noticeable?

I beleive mercedes fitted a smaller supercharger pulley and tweaked the ecu on the facelift 171 hence the 184 bhp and fuel economy upgrade on the model .
Yep, that's about it...standard pulley size is 72mm, the smaller pulley mods are normally 62mm (no need to change the belt) and the facelift A271....2780 Kompressor comes with a 66mm pulley, if I remember rightly.

Yep so the facelift can go more bhp with another re map and manifold to push further ( Kleemann one ).

204 bhp ?

I've not mapped a Merc but have done Audi TT's, 225 TT Mk1 mapped easily to 265/270 BHP and fuel economy improved, that was on a rolling road. Mk2 TT mapped from 210 to 260 easily. Maybe Turbos get more from a map than a supercharger which benefits from pulley change too.

Haven't had remap yet, will put findings on new posting if I go ahead.
You say about diameter of pulley being smaller but on a previous thread it stated that the smaller pulley did not work as the relief valve would negate it? :frown:

Sorry, I thought as you put up the screen shot of the gain that you'd had it done !?

The smaller pulley definately works...

Did you carry out pulley swap yourself?
If so how difficult was it to do?

I did all the work on removal and fitting the Kompressor, but I didn't have the tools to remove the pulley itself, so I got a place that deals in re-mapping to swap it for me...
