I am just wondering what people use to clean and smarten up this area of the car as mine is quite dull

Same thing as the rest of the interior (nothing on the Alcantara although there are products for that too)

Some folks call this area the "hat shelf" area (across the pond).

I first clean the area with moist microfiber cloth, I use black one as a light-colored one will show the dirt and grime.
Dry with another clean microfiber cloth. I treat this area with Aerospace 303 solution (spray into clean microfiber cloth and wipe). If you want some luster, use several light coats of Aerospace 303, allow time for solution to dry in-between coats.

I also treat the roll-over protective loops, the draught shield and areas around the rear speakers and upper cockpit rear bulkhead, vertical storage.

I did not do a search as I did not know what the area was called to do a search for and I did not scroll down far enough to see the technical section

I use "Black Magic" protectorent...cheap enough and works on mine.
