I'm looking for some kind of a rear diffusor for the R170 model. I am searching since months but can't find anything like a diffusor for the R170. Does anyone know a reseller of a rear bumper with an integrated diffusor?

The thing is that I do like originality, that's why I would like to keep it simple. I am not a fan of Rieger or Nippon.

A friend of mine owned a CLK55 AMG. (W209). He bought a rear bumper from a C63 or CLK63 (not sure) and integrated the diffusor into his CLK55 rear bumper.. I guess that would be the only way to have a diffusor if there's no reseller of a complete bumper for the R170.

The next thing I am searching is something like this: SLK Store R171 Carbon Fiber Front Spoiler

I am already planning to replace my Facelift front with the Facelift AMG frint bumper (from the SLK32), but this has to wait until next year. Still I am looking for something like that above mentioned front spoiler, but for the R170 AMG front.

Anyone any information about that?

Thanks in advance. :)

I haven't seen anything like that but I do agree with the SLK32 front and rear it will look phenomenal especially if you get the 32 honey comb grille in alu-look, very oem and sophisticated subtle look.

dont bother. died in its tracks. the cheapest front lip i have found is from a vender on the r171 side who will make a lip for ........wait for it.........$750!!!! no diffuser is made but i believe the c32 rear diffuser can be made to work. it would involve cutting the rear bumper to allow the diffuser to fit

Thanks for that information, looks like I will have a busy summer next year trying to figure it out how to create a lip / diffusor for little money. :biglaugh:

the rear diffuser isnt that hard to do. remove the black center piece from the rear bumper, then center up the diffuser and trim the bumper to fit the diffuser. install . the hard part is the dual exhaust as theres no room on the r170 pass side to route anything.
the front is a full fab up custom process. theres a shop in canada that can build you a lip in any design you want. cyberdrakon ir c230coupe on the r171 can also build a lip but the cost is very high. i have considered the front lip from a c32 and cutting it in the center to fit. but that comprimises the strength of the unit. problem is that all the c/f front lips are wider than the slk front bumper

well the dual exhaust wouldn't be that problem since there are some resellers which offer such exhausts, if I remember right. Also saw that modification live, looks quite good. there's no muffler on the right side, but just a pipe from the left side which then "holds" the 2 exhaust tips.

the problem I guess will be the lip, like you mentioned. but let's see, got some good engineers here, we'll see what they can do.

theres no way i would do the fake muffler trick. if i do a mod to my 32 i do it fully and operational. just my way. notching the spare tire tub on the passenger side allows for a true dual exhaust to be installed. add the needswings dual exhast setup with j tubes and you have a sound noone else can duplicate!
the issue with the lip is theres no demand. for someone to fab up a fiberglass or true abs lip requires the bumper and molds. then after made trim and fit. i did a feeler on 3 different forums for a front lip and the best response was 7 people interested. not worth the time or effort for a company to make this for a car that is no longer in production and that the lip wouldnt fit anything else
