The green machine was gleaming last night ready for a two hour drive up north this morning. Poured with rain all night. Hoping to get some topless driving in today. Looks like it might mean taking my shirt off and leaving the roof up :biglaugh:

Sun's out down south, got in a few quality top-down miles that I didn't expect after it pissed it down on my BBQ last night!

Been a pretty decent week all in all - managed to get the SLK all washed and waxed, and back in the garage before it got rained on. The C on the other hand, is about as filthy as I've ever seen her - planned on spending quality time on that today, but looks like I'm having dinner and theater with the mom-in-law! :p

My first ever MGB (I had two, and yes, both green!!) had no roof - no hard top, soft top, nada. I used to regularly drive (back in 1977 (yes Flossy, I'm over 50!!)) from the poor impoverished NE down to Wakes Colne, near Colchester - a distance of approximately 257.42 miles, and as long as I set off and landed in the dry, I never ever got wet :)

Would sure welcome some rain here in the midwest......no rain for 45 days and yesterday's temp was 105 F. Typical temps are mid 80s. Yards are pale brown and crops are very much in jeopardy. A burn ban is in effect so no fireworks for 4th of July holiday.

The rain we have had the last few days would have made it into the cabin along with the golf ball sized hail rocks :(
