Can anybody help me please, I have a 2000 230slk fitted with an Alpine factory radio. We disconnected the battery when we were doing some work on the engine and I now can't get the radio to turn on due to the CODE. I have asked Mercedes Benz for the code and the one they gave me does not work. I even got hold of Alpine in Germany and they gave me a different code which also doesn't work. I now have a radio that I can't use, the car's VIN number is WDB1704492F203656 and the radio serial number is AL2910X0941132, any help is appreciated thanks

The code should be in your owners manual if you have one.
Unfortunately I bought the car used and it didn't have an owners manual. I have since moved to South Africa and I brought the car with me. I know that there are companies in the UK that can replace the affected chip in the radio but I can't find anybody locally who does this.
