Here's one with the top down,

Now that I think about it, I actually have to put the car in drive to have the LED on... or during locking/unlocking

Heyy man,i
hey man! I’ve just bought one today, hoping to fit this weekend and a blacked out Badge to replace the smaller one on the front. Will send pics once it’s done. G

I fitted the black background MB nose badge when I fitted my grille. I just decided to try the GT style AMG grille badge on my car too and fitted it today. The placement is higher than standard on the AMG GT cars but this was where the badge seemed to fit the best.

Wasn’t sure at first but it’s growing on me I think! 🤔

Is it possible to install the new grille without actually removing the bumper?
kind regards,
Yes. Undo all the upper bolts and you can do it.
once undone you can pull the bumper back enough to fit the new grill.
Saves undoing all the lights and sensors too.
I did it this way as I couldn’t undo the tray bolts.
it’s a squeeze but it can be done.

hi,

Are you able to access the lower grille as well to change it? Got a diamond grille for my 200 AMG from CKS Performance and it has the upper and lower grilles in the box.

Guess what my job will be tomorrow....

Hi guys here’s a picture of my grill fitted. Just want to know what the best solution for parking sensors for the front grill should be. Someone suggested dummy sensors? I’ve had aftermarket parking sensors put into the back. Thank you :)

If not functional, I'd think dummy sensors just spoil the look and clean lines.
If functional, they have a value, but still spoil the look.

The problem is Myk these grilles only come with the holes for parking sensors. If wanting to fit to a car without parking sensors then you must either live with the empty holes, blank them off with dummy sensors or retrofit aftermarket sensors.

I live and learn.
And will likely fall into that trap again.
Guess we are hitting the age of sensors as standard.

That's very true on both counts! Just wish they's make the sensors they use for all the systems on the car a bit more robust! Quite often it's dodgy sensors that throw error codes on these cars.

Therein lies the MB philosophy.
Clever innovation & ill thought design.
Quirky blighters these cars.
But the smile? They got that oh so right.

sorry I missed this.
I didn’t change lower grille initially as it’s the same isn’t it?

Since then I have new Wald style bumper so not used at all.

I think most (if not all) grille changes was the top part section only (as in mine as well). The stock honeycomb bottom was good "as-is"....

Here is what I did to mine - rubber stoppers of exact dimension to fit the holes perfectly... ordered from Amazon for like a couple bucks...
