I am trying to unlock my car with the key but no lock, I change the battery, and still the same, just unlock or lock by the infrared emitter closed to the door handle.

any hint on this?

Fuse 8 in trunk/boot.

check out our R171 diys for fuse location and one of those has good photo.

I take it you have not removed aerial?
That has same effect.

lock unlock is rf with antenna
roof open close is with ir in door handle but unlock/lock intertwined with roof open close to lock on close

Anything likely to be causing RF interference in the area?
Simple things like remote senders for weather stations can cause problems if the batteries start to die and the sender goes off frequency.

Have you by any chance been "fooling around" with the antenna? Is it fastened tight? Check for corrosion at base of it as well or a loose connection there.

As said, the IR door handle is only for roof/antenna is the receptor for the doors.

Remote key fob not working all that great for lock/unlock

Batteries have been replaced 2x and I checked inside the key FOB to be sure its clean and battery connections are fine. The car battery was replaced 1 month ago and the key fob wasn't working well before that either. It works occasionally. Typically it locks well but unlocking not so much...not...

no interference and the battery changed twice

i tried to remove the antenna while the radio is working so it´s fade, and come back when the antenna been put back, but he key RF still dead

Have you replaced fuse 8?

Might want to check inside your fob. Hope this helps.

You have a short in the opening circuit is my guess.
