Hello all,

My left rear ABS sensor had no reading with ABS and BAS/ESP lights on permanently for a while now. I replaced the sensor which made no difference. I did notice it was not held correctly in the rubber bung so thought maybe the weight of this had broken the connection of the harness/hub to wire. I took it to an autoelectrician who had a look, agreed it was the harness rather than the sensor (apparently it should look like a castle or lego but mine is flat) but states he can't replace it. I'm trying to find a connector on eBay but can't find anything. Does anyone know the official name for this to help my search?

Matt

Hi Jeff,
That's very useful thank you. Unfortunately the car is being stored at my friends for 2 weeks now but I'll get the VIN as soon as I get it back. I replaced part 95 and it made no difference. It is the attachment this goes into (i.e. the connector on the car lead side, rather than the sensor lead side). Much more difficult to try and replace!

I've looked through all three schematics and two use part number A0125458628, the other doesn't show the connector. Found one on eBay. Now just need to find someone who can reliably fit it! Thanks for your help Jeff.

My datacard also does not show a chassis number

Just to conclude this story - that part made no difference whatsoever. It transpired to be the reluctor ring in the hub. You have to remove the rear drive shaft so I took it to a garage. Picked it up this morning, what a difference! The ECU must have been upset by the warning lights because the power and gear shifts are much improved. Very happy.

So what was the problem with reluctor ring? Damaged somehow or worn?
