Does anyone know of parts for the R170 that cross reference from other cars? If so this thread could save some members money.

My heater blower had been broken for 3 years, I kept getting bad resistors that werent comparable for.whatever reason, and ir eventually killed the blower too.

Luckily, the blower motor and resistor from a w202 c-class is a.direct swap, they are identical parts. I picked up both for $30 total and now have perfect functioning climate control after 3 years.

R170 PSE seems to have a number of part numbers.
I have seen the following:
170-800-05-48
170-800-04-48
170-800-08-48
But don't actually have a reference p/n, since I have never had one in my car.
Anyone know what the different numbers mean? Any of them build standard, so alternatives?
And, of course, an alternative source, to break the expensive bottleneck that currently exists?
