Hi All.

I have this lovely 2005 SLK 55, its just got 120,000KM on it now and last time I got it serviced the advisor pointed out that all the four rubber boots on the drive shafts were torn.

Apparently MB doesn't sell just the boots and the cost of replacing both the shafts is really high.

I was wondering if anyone can advice what to do, are there any aftermarket boot kits I can order and fit or if someone knows or has used drive shafts in good condition or even new aftermarket ones that don't cost as much as MB wants.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Ahmed

Do a search on ebay for axle shaft boot kits . I have purchased kits for my m3 and the wifes ix and saved a pile of money . The quality of the parts was top notch , Good luck !
