2108000648 pump has four pneumatic connections: MKL, SRU, ZV and KAF
The power supply is not aligned 1234, it is 2 + 2.
And as I put in the photo: the data input also has 18 pins but the connection housing has a little difference

So this is looking like the early Cars, (perhaps all Pre facelifts), use the 210 PSE and the later Cars (perhaps just Post Facelifts) use a different specific R170 part number PSE which has different Connections and Pin outs ........................

Perhaps this is where the confuddlement is creeping in ;)

It would seem that Mercedes certainly changed them at some point during the production run ;)

OR

Could this be a territorial thing ???????????????

IDK

These are the part numbers for my pre-facelift (Oct '96) 230K.
After following the revisions, I concluded that I could use either a 2108000648, or a 1708000848, and have the latest revision available for my car.
I purchased the W210 PSE as it was cheaper.

Go to The web site of SLK links click the top link, enter your VIN, and then search for "pump". Should be able to find it pretty easily after that.

Cheers
Jay
