You simply have to go! PE County is located to the west of Kingston Ontario (a great small city in its own right, and home to "our" ALTO, though we have yet to have a sighting!) and south of Belleville/Trenton Ontario. It is well within range of our Toronto members; those in the northeast US (cross at the 1000 Islands Bridge/Hwy 81 or Ogdensburg) or from Montreal (the latter two should also take the 1000 Island Parkway - beautiful).

There are a number of really good wineries, pubs, and restaurants in the county. The scenery is lovely and the people warm and friendly.

You can cross from Kingston via the Glenora Ferry (which is free and runs every 15mins, rarely a delay; take hwy 33 from Kingston, nice drive along the lake). From the west you should hop down onto hwy 2 at Port Hope - a historical town and cheap gas! From Port Hope you're in Loyalist country and lots of fruit stands. You'll enter into the county near Carrying Place (a portage).
