Having owned my SLK for 2 or so years I'm ready to move on to the next thing. Regrettably, I'm selling as I can't afford to have several cars sat on the drive, but I've have absolutely loved my baby, it's not let me down once especially when traveling around Europe through the mountains of Switzerland.
To my surprise (kind of) it flew through it's MOT with no advisories what so ever. In reality, I wasn't sure what would happen as the cars been sat for a couple of months while I've been moving, but of course before it made it to the garage I was sure all was ***** and spam. The only issue I had was the clock looked 'faded' as if some moisture had gotten in or possibly lacking voltage to produce clear numbers. Well, after a long hot drive down the motorway (I think I'd created my own weather system) the numbers popped back to life and all is great again.
Just thought I'd post an update of my baby, she's still going strong (testament to looking after your vehicle) after 26,000 miles in 2 years with only regular oil changes with Mobil 0w40, ALL fluid changes when I bought her, greasing and lubing joints/seals (this is very important for a quiet ride), ball joints!!! and using nothing but 99ron fuel.
Look after your babies and they will look after you, but of course you already do, that's why your here!
I'll miss that charger wine and the insta power that comes with it. Hmm perhaps a motorcycle might be next on the cards...
