Does anyone know...

The pre-facelift R170 with the automatic transmission had a shift knob with a faux carbon fiber Star emblem on the top of it. Mine has cosmetic damage on the emblem.

The emblem is removable similar to the hood emblem with two prongs that insert into the shift knob to hold it in place. But for the life of me I can't find the part number online or where to order it from. I suppose I could take it to a dealership parts department but I'm being stubborn.

Used knobs in good condition are expensive. I'm hoping I can just replace the emblem if only I can find a place to buy it.

Here's what I found so far:
- The shift knob itself is (maybe) part number 170-267-01-10.

- There are a few places online that sell alternate emblems of the same size, but they're stickers and don't appear to be of good quality.

Hmm, those all show "broken image" in your post. Looking at the html it looks like they might be part of a personal album.

One link mentions a center wheel cap. I have some extra wheel caps in the garage... I'll have a look to see if I could modify one to fit.

Thanks!
