(Post 2) Parking sensors

300 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Dave2302
Hello,
In the attached 2002 accessories catalog, on page 15, there's a reference to "Quickparc", the optional parcking aid system for the R170 SLK.
Does anybody have this mounted from Mercedes or a foto of the interior acoustic/visual warning system?
Does anybody know the part number for this?
Thanks in advanced

LOL, that thread on BW was posted by the OP of this thread ;)

He did (surprisingly) get a reply with a little more info, i.e. it is basically a Bosch Parkpilot system with it's visual display mounted atop the rear bulkhead so R170 driver can see it in the rearview mirror ;) ;)

Well I thought it would be useful to have the info here in case the question comes up again as I'm sure it will. The first part of the kit is listed as still available (in theory at least) at a horrendous price. The second part which I assume is related to the bulkhead mounting is NLA.

Rofa,
Thank you for your care.
Well done. It is important to have the info here.

I did manage to get my PDF printing working…sort of. Some meaningles icons are wrong but these seem to be the most important parts.

Even though it is not very useful, I find this kind of archeology interesting.

Useful thread for an old and rare option (y)

However, having seen that kit, in our more modern times I'll stick with my Reversing Camera / Android, (the Camera's wee bezel is painted body colour) ;)
