Thought I'd post a note here about the Portland Vintage Festival July 10-12 2015 at PIR. Great vintage racing, car club corrals, numerous vendors, and lots of fun. I've posted a thread on the Beaver State SLK's social group about it; check there for more details. I'll be handling the club corral for Portland Section MBCA and Beaver State SLKs, and I'd love to see a bunch of Pacific Northwest SLKs show up for a really fun weekend.

Here's the latest on the Portland Vintage Festival, July 10-12 2015 at Portland International Raceway. The featured race groups this year are Vintage Trans-Am and Vintage 2.5 B Sedan, though of course there will be many other groups. The Trans-Am cars are a real treat to watch; very fast and very loud! Tickets are $45 for the weekend, which includes a club corral pass for one car and two people for the whole event. Tickets can be purchased from Ticket Tomato:

I'll be handling the combined MBCA and Beaver State SLKs corral, so if you're planning to attend please let me know via PM here or by emailing me at [email protected].

The charity autocross and lunchtime parade lap around the track are open to all car corral participants. In addition, there will be various vendors for food, automobilia, and auto accessories on site. The paddock area is open to spectators, save for the hot grid area once racing activity commences. You can get close to the cars, chat with the owners and drivers, and perhaps even be allowed to get in the car for photographs (kids are a shoo-in for this).

So please put this on your calendar and join me at the track for a weekend of voluptuous sheet metal, partially burned hydrocarbons, and noise!

Very cool, thanks for the heads-up.
We will try to make it.
Excellent! Looking forward to meeting you. Odds are that it will be hot, and the Portland MBCA section has an EZ-Up tent that I will have erected in the corral for some shade. If anyone else has one, bring it along. If you're solo, the thing will fit in the passenger seat of an SLK.

Just another reminder that the Vintage Festival is this upcoming weekend. So far the weather forecast really couldn't be better, with predicted temperatures around 80 degrees and some morning clouds. Perfect for racing, and perfect for watching it! Sunhilde and I hope to see you there.

Sorry Greg but I will not be able to make it this time around.
That's unfortunate, Dave, but your recovery comes first and the event is annual, so there will be ample opportunity in the future. No worries!
