Has anyone used this product?
I have a piece of my Fog Lamp grill missing, a small hole, probably from a stone.
The kit comes with a mold maker (Plasticine or the like?)
I am hoping to copy a part of the Grill and then fix the copy, once trimmed to suit and repair the hole.

I have ordered a small kit.

Fantastic

Here you go, it took about half a hour to get to this stage including taking it off the car:smile:
1 & 2 Create the Mold by heating the supplied reusable bar in hot water.
I also put the Grill in the water to keep it all soft.
Removed the whole thing after pressing into all the gaps to create the correct depth. Then cooled it all down to set the Mold.
3 the Mold ready to be used

Nearly Finished

4 Place the Mold over the damaged area, it clicked in nicely as it is an exact copy.
5 Fill the Mold with Plastex
6 RESULT!!!
Just needs a bit off a trim to remove the flash:grin:

It bonds itself to the original plastic.
Easy as that.
I will have to see if it lasts but it does seem quite strong.
I left all the edges as they were, I could have dressed them but I thought give it a go.

There is a slight miss match in photo 6 and that 'Fish Scale' should be solid, but hardly anyone noticed the Hole so once dressed I am sure no one will know, only SLKWorld people.

I bought the small kit for £16 off EBay and there is enough product left to do around 15 more repairs of this size.

It seems to be an American product Jeff ( One for you Guys) so I can't start business......
It was so easy to use, the longest part was creating the Mold and that was about 5 mins
